California Summer
It’s tough
to be creative
in the summer
the excessive heat
when it drains
energy
focus
life
and the air
is so thick
it’s unbreathable
opaque.
But the desire
to create
remains,
trying
to find a way
to manifest
itself
push its way through
the desert temps
and dense sky
until
it’s released.
